Well exactly two days from now I will be on a plane from Atlanta with a destination of Miami, FL.
For those of you who don't know exactly what this trip is, I will explain. Let me first start out by saying: THANK YOU BERRY COLLEGE. This trip is the opportunity and deal of a lifetime. On May 3rd I will board a plane to Miami and from there get on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship with 15 other students and a marketing professor, where we will then commence on a 12-day cruise to Europe. We will make two stops - one in Portugal islands, and two on the tip of France. We will have class every day for a couple of hours on the cruise to learn about International Marketing (MKT 425) and Business Travel and Tourism (BUS 460) which will give me 6 hours of credit that will count towards my major. So, yes, this is study abroad.
Once we land in London, we will spend a few days in each country with a free weekend in Paris and one in Florence. So I can check England, France, Italy, and Switzerland all off my bucket list after this trip! (side note: I have been to Italy and France before...but not these cities).
I am getting SO excited I can hardly stand it! It's hard to think about how much I will miss people, yes, (shout out to the fam and Austin right here), but this is seriously going to be the trip of a lifetime. I've never been out of the country this long and definitely not out of contact with those I love this long but thank goodness for internet!!
I won't be able to blog much from the cruise ship because internet is pretty expensive, but I'm pretty sure I'll just be doing the same old same old on the cruise ship anyways...ya know, spa days, formal dinners, smoothies by the pool, snorkeling in crystal blue water....just the usual, no biggie.
So anyways, keep up with the posts and I will make sure to update as often as I can from Starbucks across Europe :P
